My Booksta friend, @samstacksbooks, came up with this challenge and I knew I had to jump on it! I had tried to start reading classics at the end of 2022 and started with an audiobook of Alice in Wonderland which I absolutely loved! The next month, I decided to listen to Pride and Prejudice. I learned two things: 1) I cannot do audiobooks and 2) my attention span for the classics is minimal at best. Still, I know they're important and I really do want to read them. So here's what she's chosen and I'm excited because I haven't read a lot of these.
January: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (finished 1/26/2023; 4 Stars)
February: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
March: The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
April: 1984 by George Orwell
May: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
June: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
July: Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
August: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
September: The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
October: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
November: The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
December: A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
How fun! And I've only read 5 of these and most not since high school!
