As she dodges suitors and her sister’s pranks, Tessa finds an ally in the oh-so-dreamy Myles, her childhood crush who just so happens to work at the resort. But Myles is dealing with some family conflict of his own. He’s elated at being reunited with Tessa, but his father’s refusal to acknowledge his interest in the family business and relegating him to only grunt work casts a dark cloud.
As Tessa and Myles help navigate their way through their families’ antics, they begin to realize that their past feelings may have a future—if only they can turn their island fantasies into something real.
If you've been around here long enough, you know I LOVE a Meghan Quinn book. She makes me laugh, cry, want to be in the group, all the things, so I was super excited to snag this one off of NetGalley. I had such high hopes because it is a Meghan Quinn and the setting of Santorini had me swooning, but let me tell you, this one fell flat for me! The main female character, Tessa, was almost too awkward. I love an awkward person, my best friend in college was probably the most awkward person you'd meet, but it was almost as if she tried too hard to be awkward. Myles was ok but had nothing to write home about. And Roxane! Omg! If I EVER catch my kids acting like that to their siblings, I don't care how old they are, they'll be hearing about it from me. She was just flat-out horrible to her twin sister! Their back story was cute and the descriptions of Santorini made me want to visit even more, but this one just didn't do it for me.
