Wow, has it been a while! My last post was April of 2023 and a lot has happened in my life since then. That will all come in another blog post, but let's discuss my reads of 2025!

January started strong with 10 reads. The Wedding People was my No Shelf Control Book Club read and The Frozen River was my Haslet Ladies Book Club read. I also discovered Elsie Silver and, as you can see, flew through the Chestnut Springs series.
My favorite of January: Heartless by Elsie Silver.

February had 5 reads. I continued with Elsie Silver's next series as well as Elle Kennedy's Briar U series. I had read Off Campus previously. Lights Out and Hooked were my reads for the No Shelf Control Book Club. I can't remember what Haslet Ladies Book Club read, but I didn't read it. Oops!
February's fave: Wild Eyes by Elsie Silver.

March finished with 9 reads. I continued the Chestnut Springs series and read my first Catherine Cowles and John Marrs. Educated was a crazy ride! I also had foot surgery during the month so I was excited to get Sunrise on the Reaping the moment it came out and read it immediately!
March's fave: Sunrise on the Reaping

April continued Elsie Silver's backlog with Off to the Races. I also read an ARC of Bridesmaid by Chance by Meghan Quinn and surprisingly disliked The Influencer.
April's fave: Done and Dusted (not MQ, I know!)

May was a really busy month so I only read two books, one of which was for work. While I didn't hate it, it certainly wasn't a favorite. The Orphange by the Lake was my Haslet Ladies Book Club pick and I listened to it.
May's fave by default: The Orphange by the Lake

June only finished three books but three really good books. I knew TJR was getting ready to release Atmosphere so I wanted to finish her backlog with After I Do being the last I needed to read. I listened to The Women and The Missing Half.
June fave: The Women by Kristin Hannah

July was a fun family filled month - we went to Houston for an Astros game and to NASA - which tied in nicely with the release and my read of Atmosphere. Meghan Quinn also released Til Summer Do Us Part. I'm queen of "buying" free kindle books and Hey, Batter Batter happened to be one of them that I was pleasantly surprised with.
July's fave: hands down, Atmosphere!

August had me FINALLY finishing the ACOTAR series (don't judge). The other reads were random choices except for Love, Mom which was the Haslet Ladies Book Club read for the month.
August's fave: Love, Mom

September was a good month! I finished a few Adrienne Young books that I had had on my TBR for forever. Wild Card was released and I finally got around to Yours Truly.
September's fave: Wild Card

October led to spooky and cozy reads. Just One Taste was another pleasantly surprising not popular book I just happened across.
October's fave: Just One Taste

November was hard because none of these really stood out as phenomenal, but all were pretty good in their own right. I was pleasantly surprised with One Forked Up Thanksgiving, another freebie.
November "fave": Problematic Summer Romance

December was all over the place and I know it's not over yet, but I likely won't finish another book before the end of the year. I'll edit the post if I do. Six out of nine were Christmas reads and I think that's pretty impressive considering I'm picky with themed reads.
December's Favorite: Comfort and Joy

I'm not going to lie, it was a hard choice between Atmosphere and Sunrise on the Reaping but when it comes down to it, I SOBBED at Atmosphere and it just had to win out.
