“The only way you fail at something is if you don’t get back up when you get knocked down.”

Christmas in Silverwood is a holiday romance available on Amazon for $4.99 (ebook), $13.99 (paperback), or on Kindle Unlimited. Published in 2021, it is a heartwarming, clean romance set in a charming mountainside forest town.

Holly, a recently single well-known artist from New York, chooses to stay at her family’s holiday cabin for the holidays - just like she used to do every year with her parents - to get away from her ex. Her dad has recently passed and her mom is in the Philippines with family so this year Holly isn’t much in the holiday spirit.

Nick is the charming Silverwood do-it-all sweetheart. From running his late mother’s cafe - The Gingerbread House - to helping at his ailing father’s tree farm to doing just about anything the town needs from him, Holly isn’t quite convinced his her act isn’t just that, an act.

The two can’t deny their instant chemistry and team together, with the help of nine adorable Alaskan Malamute siblings, to save a Christmas wish - and just maybe their spirits too.

What I liked: the dogs, Mr. Mason and how welcoming of Holly the whole Mason family were, and the fact that it’s literally a Hallmark movie in print - cheesy (in a good way) and magical.

What I disliked: the rift between Holly and Lucy felt unnecessary to the plot, the way the reader is left with more detail on Kim, Grayson, and the Miranelli couple, and it’s a super slow burn.

Overall, I would totally recommend for a quick read to get in the holiday, Hallmark movie spirit.

Thank you to @katieandbreypa and @dorothydreyer for the ebook in exchange for my honest review.
