“I’ve never told anyone this, but every year since I was seven, I’ve picked a flower from my mom’s garden, pressed it, preserved it, and labeled it with the year. I have a whole book dedicated to the flowers. When my mom turns sixty, I’m going to give it to her.”

*Swoon*

This novella is You’ve Got Mail but make it Christmas-y.

In small-town Maine, Nola and Caleb were high school sweethearts. Upon graduating, Nola decides to chase her dream and move to New York but Caleb can’t follow and thus breaks Nola’s heart, never to talk to her again. Or so they thought.

Nola finds herself newly single and living back in her hometown - and doing everything she can to avoid Caleb, including hiding behind trashcans. Suddenly, she receives a mysterious letter hand delivered by the local mailman, Arden.

The writer, Resting Scrooge Face, hates Christmas this year just as much as Nola does and the two find solace in their Grinch-ness by writing back and forth. Nola uses the pen name Ho Ho No.

If you’ve been around @bookendsandtwins long enough, you know I love Meghan Quinn’s books, even though I haven’t read that many. They are absolutely hilarious and I’m slowly making my way through them all. The banter in this one is 100% and I loved how it went from a dual POV story to their back-and-forthreal-time letters then to their actual in-person conversation so you felt like you were following along in real time with the characters. It was a really neat concept!

This was a great, quick second-chance romance that left me laughing and swooning at the same time! Definitely recommend!

Thank you to Net Galley and Meghan Quinn for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!
