Everleigh has had a hard life. Her parents passed away when she was a child and she was raised by her grandparents. Her grandmother passed away last year and she now takes care of her grandfather who has Alzheimer's working as a waitress for a horrible boss making next to nothing.

Daire is the heir to a hugely successful pecan farm complete with a future CEO role and an estate where he never has to worry about money.

Daire's best friend, Benedict, is a narcissist who has it out for Everleigh and Daire gets caught up in his evil games. Feeling guilty, he hires Everleigh to work at the pecan farm, and although there is a "no dating" policy, more than just pecan pies are baked between Daire and Everleigh.

This was such a sweet romance. Daire is the sweetest and genuinely cares for Everleigh unconditionally. Everleigh learns to trust and allow Daire to love her and care for her. They were just the sweetest couple. I do think the relationship progressed too quickly and there were a few characters I rather despised (looking at you Tennie), but overall this was a sweet, quick read and Daire set the bar HIGH for book boyfriends.

Thank you to @katieandbreypa and @tagallina for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
