So Prime Video came out with the new streaming series version of Daisy Jones and the Six and although only half of the episodes have been released so far, it's amazing and the soundtrack is phenomenal! I knew the album was going to be badass, even with the changes, but I also enjoyed being immersed in the 1970s with the real-life bands mentioned in the book. As I re-read the book, I marked off the real bands and songs mentioned and made a playlist from the list. Not going to lie, there were some bands and singers mentioned that I spent way too much time Googling only to discover that they were made up!
Here's the Daisy Jones & the Six playlist I made:
One Fine Day by Carole King
Mercedes Benz by Janis Joplin
Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash
You've Got a Friend by Carole King
Masters of War by Bob Dylan
A Hard Day's Night by the Beatles
Midnight Train by Tommy James
The Wanderer by Status Quo
Son of a Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield
Somebody's Baby by Jackson Browne
Stay by Jackson Browne
My Way Down by Chris Duarte
